1x Pseudosasa japonica Arrow Bamboo, (approx) 25-30 inches and sent bare rooted. P. japonica is a vigorous, spreading, evergreen bamboo, that grows to 1.8 metres in height in a pot, and 3 metres in the ground. Forms a thicket of olive-green canes with copious narrow, shiny green leaves to 25cm in length, that are extremely wind tolerant. It is hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters (-15°C to -20°C). This bamboo is an excellect patio plant, as it will provide your garden with an instant tropical appearance. It has an ultimate spread of 2.5-3 metres. It would make a excellent windbreak, hedge, or screen– ideal for disguising an unsightly garage, wall, etc. This bamboo has an AGM award, from the Royal Horticultural Society. Which means that it is considered to be an exceptional specimen.
