1x Fuchsia Loxensis 'Kunth' (approx) 6-8 inches tall, and sent in a 1 litre plant pot. Loxensis 'Kunth' is a scandent to mostly erect, densely branched, evergreen shrub or small tree. It produces masses of long (3 inch) tubular flowers, that have a tropical appearance due to their pink-red colour. This species is native to Ecuador. Where it is found in high Andean forest to shrubby paramos. This species is hardy within the UK, in all but the severist winters. It prefers a well-drained, or sloping situation, and a South facing aspect. It has an ultimate height of 1-5 metres, but can be trimmed (in early spring) to be kept to a certain height. It has an ultimate spread of 1-3 metres. This Fuchsia is very unusual as it is evergreen, and unlike other Fuchsia's is a perennial. Loxensis is endangered due to habitat destruction, and currently has a place on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
